www.acwhrs.com/thethree.htmlHere are the Three Confederate Prisoners blown up. If you Look at the first Soldier, his hands are just skin and bone, its interesting because i think the first two might know each other because they are wearing the same issued uniforms where as the third Soldier looks to be in Richmond Gray or Tait cloth clothing. The First one seems to be wearing a Union issued Shirt and the third Soldier is carrying a Federal Issued shelter half and Federal Issue haversack. Happy Campaigning Ground Sleeper

You will note also that 2 of the three have the leather straps (Greg supplied us with) on their canteens while the third fellow has his hiked up fairly high. As well, all three appear to be wearing knapsacks.
Nice picture.

I love this photo, apparently there is another photo of Confederate forces marching into Sharpsburg, i email the National Park Service at Antietam to try and locate this photo, but got no response.
Also a note with the canteens, the canteens don't have any cloth around them, i wounder if they were taken of for some reason or just wore away.
The knapsacks, the one sitting i think has a Mexican War pack on, but i can't really tell, but you can really see the presents of federal issued items
