Subtitled A Photographic History by Gordon Damman and Alfred Jay Bollet One author is the founder of the National Museum of Civil War Medicine. Minimal reading with a lot of previously unpublshed photographs of surgeons, nurses, hospitals, field hospitals, and CDVs. A few photos of wounds although I am still trying to find where I saw a more extensive collection thereof. I think it was the Time/Life series but cannot find it. Certainly a valuable book for those interested in Civil War medicine. Janice 2nd La. Bde.
