John billings was a soldier in the Army of the Potomac during the war and he wrote a first hand account of his experience's. Unlike other first hand accounts this one focuses on what re-enactors want to know about and that is how they lived. John's book puts in detail the tasks of building shelters, making coffee, all you need to know about hard tack, daily schedules, and much more.
This is a must have for re-enactors, i find its more of a reference book than anything.
Happy Campaigning
