Co:Aytch is awesome, it is the diary of Private Sam Watkins 1st Tennessee Regiment Company H (Aytch)
This is a first hand account form Sam himself of the Western Theatre of the war. Sam tells about his commanding officer Braxton Bragg and his feats of terrine, the battles of Shiloh,Kennesaw Mountain, Chickamauga,Franklin,Nashville. he also tells about the trials and tribulations of being on the march and in camp with The Army of the Tennessee. A great and easy to read diary, great for helping your first person impression.
Happy Campaigning

Upon reading this book again there is a lot of inconsistency's, when readin just remeber that when it was written Sam was in his 70s and the book is basically like grampa telling old war stories. when i have more time i will post the inconsistency's

If I recall, Co Aytch was a great read, one that certainly sent shivers down my spine in some spots! Well worth the read, even if it is a bit ramblin' in spots. That's what gives it its value.

I am not saying its not vauable, but when considering it for research one may want to look else where. But this is still a must read.
